What a Surprise

First, Lina got out of surgery at about 11:00pm. We are not in a room, but in the nurses station-talk about a sleepless night. She slept all night and through the morning, they did take her off the vent moments ago. She looks GREAT and her spirits are good. I hope she will start eating soon.
So imagine my surprise when I'm sitting next to Lina reading a book, and I look up to see Shelly and Joanne in the doorway. I can't even express the feeling that flooded me when I say them. I feel so loved, so important, so blessed... Mary I can't believe you kept this a secret. To everyone involved in making this happen, THANK YOU!!! Casting Crowns has a song, If we are the body....I am so happy to be a part of the body. Shelly and Joanne, I love you both more than words can express.

that is great news!!
that is Sean's favorite Casting crowns song!!
and, you are very loved!!!
so glad Lina is doing well, and you too.
you are one amazing woman. :)

It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in trying to fade into the faces
The girls teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know
Farther than they know

But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way

[these lyrics are found on http://www.songlyrics.com]
A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgmental glances
Tells him that his chances are better out on the road

CHORUS
Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ

CHORUS
Jesus is the way

Laura,

I know you believe Rob is the glue, and I agree. He is awesome! But you are the one that blindly walks out on that "limb", with nothing more than faith (That's huge!) and every time, you show us all why you were chosen to do so. You are strong and amazing! I love you.

Rob, I am thankful that my best friend has a husband that is on the same page; that is so supportive and loving and kind. God brought you together to fit together like a puzzle. You interlock, you complement one another, and you make each other complete. Together, you make it all happen; you make it all work. When things seem hard... just remember to look to one another. Together you can do anything.

Hannah, Mary and John... you are nothing short of a miracle yourselves. Your unselfishness has been instrumental in giving Lina this opportunity. Your hearts are so big! I adore you all!

Lina, your strength and courage should be a lesson to us all. You may not realize it now, but I know God has great plans for you. He would not have put you though this without purpose, and without trusting you could handle it. Keep up the good work!

Shelly and Joanne, I don't know you personally, but I love you! I am so happy that Laura did not have to be all alone. Thank you for being there for her. Although a part of me is a little bit jealous (just an itsy, bitsy, part of me - because you were able to do what I was unable to do) mostly I am grateful that you could be there for Laura. What a blessing!

Laura, when I feel like I am not doing God's work, you remind me that it is not my "season". In the meantime, I have the best teacher ... and I am taking notes! You rock! You shine! And you inspire!

I love you. Give Lina a major hug and kiss from me. Take care of yourself too! I love you!

Peggy
