August 29

Lina and I flew to NY today. Dr. Rose said everything looks great, however we need to do a skin graft on the portion of her head where the flap died. I learned a lot about how the flaps work, why he took skin from the places he did. I am so thankful that he is a warm doctor, willing to answer all my questions. He did some "drawing" on Lina's face to plan out a few of the surgeries to come. We will be going back to NY this week or next for the graft, probably staying for a week. Then back in October for the other side of her face, then the nose.
I have talked so little about Bill Broderick in the blog and I want everyone to know who he is... He is the Chairman of the organization helping us financially. I don't know much about him yet, but he and his wife visited us, and they are truly angels. Please pray for them. (pcirishteam.org) I have had some moments lately of feeling overwhelmed, thank you to EVERYONE that has encouraged me and for understanding that my faith will bring us through this. I truly appreciate the meals this week! Philippians 4:6-9

Laura,
Thanks for the update. Even though I see you at church regularly, I hate to ask. Know that you are in my prayers regularly. lina is so fortunate to have you and your family seeking this care for her. What a wonderful thing you are doing to make her life better. I admire all you are doing.
